How do I find iForgetalot App Shortcuts?
  1. Open Apple’s Shortcuts app.
  2. On iPhone, tap the shortcuts menu in the upper-left.
  3. Under App Shortcuts, tap iForgetalot.
  4. Tap a shortcut to run it, or use it inside a personal shortcut.
Can I use these shortcuts with Siri instead?

Yes. Try “Siri, remind me with iForgetalot,” “Siri, make sure I see something with iForgetalot,” or “Siri, do not let me miss something with iForgetalot.” Siri then asks what the reminder is about.

Siri recognition varies by voice, language, noise, and how the app name is pronounced. If Siri does not recognize the phrase, run the shortcut once from the Shortcuts app or assign it to the Action Button.

Will the Action Button work while my iPhone is locked?

iOS decides whether a shortcut can finish while the phone is locked. Everyday reminder capture may stay hands-free; a protected reminder opens iForgetalot for review and iOS may ask you to unlock first. iForgetalot never bypasses your device security.

Voice controls inside iForgetalot

Similar-looking controls have different jobs.

ControlWhat it doesWhat it does not do
Home Speak / voice orbStarts guided reminder dictation and asks for missing information before you save.It does not merely read the screen.
Header headphones/play buttonReads the current screen aloud. Tap again to pause, then resume when available. It does not start reminder dictation or create a reminder.
Siri or Action ButtonRuns an iForgetalot App Shortcut from outside the app.It does not change what the header play button does.
Does the header headphones/play button start reminder dictation?

No. It is read-aloud playback for the screen you are viewing. To dictate a new reminder, use Speak or the voice orb on Home, Siri, or an iForgetalot App Shortcut.

How do I pause or resume a screen readout?

Tap the header headphones/play button while it is reading to pause. Tap it again to resume. Starting reminder capture stops the Home readout so the two voice experiences do not talk over each other.

Troubleshooting

Start with these checks if iForgetalot does not appear in Shortcuts or the Action Button list.

iForgetalot is missing from App Shortcuts. What should I do?
  • Update iForgetalot to the latest available build.
  • Open iForgetalot and finish onboarding.
  • Open the Shortcuts app again and check App Shortcuts → iForgetalot.
  • If it is still missing, restart the iPhone, then open iForgetalot and Shortcuts once more.
Why did the shortcut open iForgetalot?

This is expected for Make sure I see it and Don’t let me miss it. Those reminder levels make stronger promises, so the app opens for you to verify the details and approve the protection. Use Add a reminder for the quickest everyday capture.

What if Siri hears the reminder incorrectly?

Listen to Siri’s confirmation. If it is wrong, cancel and try again, speaking the reminder and timing in one clear sentence. Protected reminders open a review screen where you can edit the title, date, time, importance, or destination before saving.

Why won’t iForgetalot save the time I said?

Reminder times must be in the future. If Siri or Speak detects a past date or time, choose a future date or time before saving.

General FAQs

Quick answers about using and trusting iForgetalot.

How many AI Realtime voice conversations are included?

Basic includes 150 free AI Realtime voice conversations per month (up to 25 per day), Pro includes 450 per month, and Plus includes 1200 per month. One Speak session counts as one conversation, regardless of how many turns it contains. When the monthly allowance is used, iForgetalot shows Voice Unavailable until next month. On Basic, hitting the 25/day cap shows: You've reached your daily cap. Voice is unavailable. Use typing instead.

Does iForgetalot work offline?

Core reminders and local storage work on your device. Local AI features can work offline; cloud AI, email connections, shared delivery, and other online services need internet access.

Does iForgetalot save or send things without approval?

The app shows you material reminder details before protected actions are saved. Features involving another person open the appropriate review or system send flow. You choose what to approve.

Does the iPhone Action Button guide apply to Android?

No. The Action Button and Apple App Shortcuts are iPhone features. The Android app still includes its own in-app Speak capture.
